RACES - The first race was conceived when the second car was built

A great opportunity to race a Group C car at Spa, cut short by a blown tire after a few laps

Some turbo issues in an uneventful race. P12 overall and P4 in GT2, very far from the double turbo 935s

A very fun 2 hours race. P2 until the very last lap when the car stopped a few meters from the finish line, out of gas. Better luck next time !

A bittersweet 5th place overall in Nice after 2 track wins (Dijon and Castellet) and 3 third places (Revard, Bresse and Ales). The mighty Cobra was firmly in second place overall after 3 days of intense racing but a mistake into the grass on a rainy stage proved fatal for the podium finish.
Looking forward to the 2013 edition with high ambitions!

A great race in Nogaro with the single turbo Porsche 935. After difficult qualifications in drying conditions and despite a twisty track that did not leave a lot of time for the turbo boost to be effective, a 9th place overall and a win in the GT2 class.

The first race of the European Endurance Championship ended for the Boutsen Ginion Formula Le Mans after 5 hours due to a faulty fuel pump. The lap times were consistent and the race enjoyable, but this is motor racing...

A top 10 finish after a gruelling 24 hours race in the Rhino's Leipert Motorsport Lamborghini Gallardo and despite a long mechanical stop.
Tobias Neuser (GER), Mika Vähämäki (FIN) and Jan Stovicek (CZE) were both fast and reliable.
The Leipert Motorsport crew worked wonders and the car saw the finish line in 9th position, just behind big names such as Bernt Schneider, Peter Kox and Thomas Enge

A first outing for the Porsche 962C at the Paul Ricard track. The car was back in France for the first time after 20 years.
Remarkably easy to drive, the 962 suffered from a very long 5th gear, so long that the car was stuck at 7000 rpm at 290km/h, much slower than the other competitors (the Sauber C11 was clocked at 335km/h)
Looking forward to learning more, especially the corner speed with the ground effect which takes a lot of time getting used to!

A very pleasant CER race with the very fast Lola 3L (second fastest average speed in the straights at 293.5km/h)
Final result P9 after a start at P19 on the grid following a very cautions qualifying session.
Looking forward to driving it on the Hunaudières next year !

A great racing weekend with my co-pilot Damien Kohler in the French Endurance championship (VdeV series) in Nogaro. It was our first time in a V8 Silhouette and we ended up 7th overall and first in class. The car is powerful, fast in the straights and brakes really really deep.
to be continued..

A difficult race in Silverstone with a challenging start on slicks under a typical English drizzle. End result P4 in class

A very difficult race with plenty of rain and drama on the track.
The 8.4L, 640 hp V10 was perfect and helped the team to a 26th place overall out of 62 teams, from a start at the back of the grid.
Congratulations to GCR (Guy Clairay Racing) for the perfect car preparation and teamwork and to my copilots Guy Clairay, Bernard Salam, Dominique Nury.

A great old fashion racetrack for the Classic Endurance 1 hour race.
From 26th position on the grid to 10th overall and 3rd in class.
A good day in Italy!

A first try in a Group C did not go very far due to engine trouble at the beginning of the race but I will return !

The run with the 3L DFV Lola was halted by gearbox problems on the superb Belgian track

A great edition from Paris to Biarritz in perfect weather. The E type performed well on the tracks of Le Mans, Vigeant, Pau Arnos and Nogaro. Result: 5th overall (just 3 seconds from 4th place) in the 20th edition of the French classic

High hopes for the 5th entry in the Dubai 24 hours with a quick and light new car (the GC 10 by Gomez Competition) were dashed in the dark of the night when a slower car damaged the rear suspension. the team worked great and managed to repair in record time. Our hopes for a podium finish were gone and we had to settle for 4th in class.
