RACES - The first race was conceived when the second car was built

A bad break at the start of the first race of the week end when a spinning car hit the back wheel, causing a flat, meant starting from the back, spoiling any chance to score the points needed.
At the end of the season a 5th place in Class B and a lot of new experience

Two more podium finishes in Class B (2nd and 3rd) during a very wet racing week end.
The Saturday race was started under safety car as monsoon rains were hitting Shanghai. The Michelin tires proved to have an impressive grip but could not prevent some scary aquaplaning in the pit straight.
The Sunday race took place in drying conditions which made the car increasingly difficult to drive with a wet setup and dying wet tires.
Now standing 3rd in the class B Championship before the last racing week end in Zhuhai in November

After more than 2 years of hard work by Yvan Mahé and his team renovating this historic car , HU1, the surviving Jo Bonnier Lola T280 was present at the Paul Ricard track.
Gerard Larousse (who drove the car in Daytona Buenos Aires, Brands Hatch, Monza, Watkins Glen and Le Mans 24H) was watching as HU1 hit the track again after almost 40 years.
The car is surprisingly predictable and very powerful (475hp for 725kg).
The final result was encouraging for a first outing with a 7th place overall and competitive lap times.
Thanks to Mathieu Heurtault for the pictures

The 2 hour endurance race, part of the 10.000 tours week end at the Paul Ricard track, went well until brake overheating stopped the day

A great racing weekend in Singapore on the tricky urban track prepared for the F1 race. After a cautious qualifying under the rain (13th overall), Saturday's was a success with a 8th place overall and a podium finish in Class B (3rd).
Sunday's race was more hardly fought and after being hit on lap 9, the final result was a disappointing 12th overall.
Another treat was the grid walk before the F1 race and being invited to watch the race sitting next to Lauda, Coulthard and Jordan. Talk about insight !

The 935 is the perfect car for the big track at Le Mans. Very fast with its 650hp and safe. Unfortunately we could not solve our fuel pump issues and the races ended with fuel shortages.

Partnering with Frank Augis for this incredible event, our hopes were broken on the first day with a fatal gearbox shaft failure.

The fantastic new GC 10 silhouette car with the new 430hp sodemo prepared engine took us to 9th overall and 2nd in class. Co driver: Grégoire Chaix

A great race in the heat of Southern France with a perfectly prepared 3L RS Porsche and a perfect copilot: Bernard Salam, 7 times racer and class winner at Le Mans24 Hours. We ended things 7th overall and first in class

A disappointing week end in Zhuhai. No qualifying time following an incident with another car meant a start from the last row. Started 23rd to finish 13th but with the short race format (12 laps) there is not much that can be done in a single make series. A lot of points lost in the championship.

A fantastic week end in Beijing with a 6th place overall and 2nd place in Class B in race 3 (7th and 2nd in race 4) ! Now standing tied for 2nd in the class B championship (8th overall) A great thank you to Craig Baird and Mok Weng Sun for their help in the setup of the car over the week end

Held as support races for the Shanghai Formula 1 GP, the opening races of the championship were entertaining. Sunday race results: 9th overall and 6th in Class B

A good team, a fun car but for the second year in a row, reliability was not there. As we were leading our class and aiming for a top 15 finish, the electronics let us down at 2 am!

From Paris to Dauville after a northern loop, the Tour Auto was different this year. First time with the E Type, a new copilot and P9 at the end of the week

A fun race on an incredible street circuit. Quite boring as a race track with mostly 90° turns but still great to be racing in the middle of of buildings and before the F1 event.

A disappointing week end in Dijon. Damien Kohler has trusted me with 2 of his cars, the gray Porsche 911 that we had shared over the years and his brand new Mosler, a fantastic racing machine with a 7 Liter Corvette engine and sequential gearbox. Unfortunately engine troubles plagued the 911 during practice and we did not even enter the race. The Mosler was hit by overheating during the first stint by Damien.

The second race with the fantastic Porsche 935. The track is not very fast so it was difficult to use the awesome turbo power fully.

An interesting experience with the Gomez Competition silhouette car and younger, quick co pilots. Unfortunately we were hit by reliability issues during the night.

P4 in race 1 and Podium (P3) in race 2, a good week end in the steamy Malaysian heat !

What a car! The 935 is brutal, difficult to handle with the straight axle (no differential) and really really fast. After a careful free and qualifying practice trying to time the turbo lag, the race went very well (P2 in GT) until it ran out of gas. An additional tank will be fitted soon to avoid this.
